Hiya! Thanks for stopping by! Can you tell I’m starved for adult company???
I’m a South Wales-based mum and part-time writer. My daughter is two and from the suspicious looks she often gives me, I know she’s already sussed that I’m making this whole parenting thing up as I go along. Busted.
Life is about to get a whole lot more complicated as baby number two is about to arrive!
I started blogging about life as a parent when I quit my job and I realised I’d need to do something partially constructive with my time. One year on and I can’t imagine life without my little corner of the World Wide Web. I have connected with so many awesome people and parents who have given me so much inspiration and support. I love hearing from anyone who has read the blog, so do leave a comment or send me an email if you want to chat / work together on the next big parental revolution.
In my previous life BC (before child), I worked in communications in Leeds, Newcastle, London and Cardiff. Alas, I also had a social life.
I write a fair amount about feminism, gender equality and about how this influences the way I parent my daughter. I’m gonna be pretty disappointed if the first full sentence she says isn’t ‘gender is an outdated patriarchal construct’, but in all likelihood it’ll probably be ‘give me more Pom-Bear now!!!’ In my spare time I volunteer for the Women’s Equality Party in South Wales, and I run the campaign #DressDownFriday to tackle gender stereotypes through kids’ fashion.
I’d love to hear from you, so please do leave a comment and let me know what you think about the blog, or connect with me via twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
Peace, love & leaky-boobs.
